It was a big hit, even for the super soldier, and a other devotee theory indicated he might have actually died from the blow. At least, briefly.

This other theory popped stirring higher than on Reddit, where user commander_wong made the dwindling that Thanos' brutal punch to Captain America's head would have likely killed the Avenger. But next the big periwinkle guy gives him a powerful punch to the head, and cap was put down. Thanos then trapped Black Widow below some rocks, and melted Bruce Banner into a mountain.

But as soon as Thanos eventually reverses times and procures the times stone, these characters aren't in the similar positions-- and Steve Rogers is doable brought back up from the dead... again. The charity of characters are next-door seen in the wake of Thanos' finger snap of death, clear of their former constraints, but then missing half the galaxy and a ton of their closest allies.
