Shazam! director David F. Sandberg is keeping his film worthy of that exclamation point. He and star Zachary Levi have been buzzing fascinating fans upon social media -- kinda sorta answering questions upon the film, but mostly just keeping the hype train chugging along. And they have conveniently been having a blast in the process. Shazam! released a second teaser commercial very nearly two weeks ago, after the first one came out last summer, but here's the good showing off Sandberg replied to a enthusiast hoping for more footage:
They gave Shazam the Drew Barrymore Scream treatment! Not really, though. David F. Sandberg has been responding to fans who conventional marginal commercial to fall last week. upon a more terrific note, he said he didn't know where that rumor came from, and he hated for fans to be disappointed, but he couldn't reply to all rumor out there. As he put it, the safest bet is to not undertake all that hasn't been officially announced.
David F. Sandberg is worth once upon Twitter for his little enthusiast polls alone. You may remember the open shade he threw at the MCU's Captain Marvel once tweeting the results of a enthusiast poll that put Shazam! second to Avengers 4 upon the list of most-anticipated superhero films for 2019 -- ahead of Captain Marvel. As he teased/reminded comic record readers, Shazam is #TheOriginalCaptainMarvel.
Zachary Levi -- who approximately blew off his Shazam! audition, thinking it wouldn't go anywhere -- has then been having fun fascinating once fans, and he even cried greater than some enthusiast art he conventional during Brazil Comic Con.
Shazam! is technically joined to the DCEU, and Henry Cavill's Superman was supposed to cameo at one point, but it's mostly its own thing. It will be once the record-breaking finishing of Aquaman, and seems to have an even lighter space and brighter visuals. We don't know nevertheless how much money Shazam! will make at the box office, but hopefully it's passable to pay for all of those costly suits.
The first Shazam! commercial came out during 2018 San Diego Comic-Con. marginal commercial was shown at Brazil Comic-Con, but not all of that footage has been released to the public at this point. The second teaser aired as a TV spot earlier in January. We'll probably get more footage of some nice before the film's April release, but we don't know if that will arrive via an "official trailer" or fast TV spots, etc.
Keep going on once our Shazam! updates and get ready to watch the film in theaters starting April 5. April is going to be a particularly huge month for superhero movies, but all of 2019 is shaping going on to be one for the books.
